[CAYSA UPDATE] – CAYSA Fall 2020 Return to Activity Notice – 8.7.2020

Earlier this week, the CAYSA Executive Committee unanimously decided to delay the start of CAYSA run competitions (Academy, Super II, DII, DIII) until September 26th. CAYSA league VPs can work with clubs to help provide the safest league situation for its participants. When competitions return, CAYSA strongly recommends that visiting teams contact their opponents in advance to understand any rules or restrictions that are in place for their fields.

Secondly, The CAYSA EC has decided to waive all player registration deadlines for the fall 2020 season to provide clubs with the most flexibility in completing and maintaining rosters. For CAYSA leagues, teams should submit their intent-to-play for their respective leagues by Sept. 12.

Thirdly, clubs that have in-house recreational programs may start their in-house competitions since STYSA has moved to Phase 3 of the (STYSA Guidelines to a Safe Return to Play Phases). It is understood that some local governments may have restrictions that are not specifically discussed in the STYSA RTP, so if clubs need to implement more restrictive policies, they are free to do so.

As always, we will continue to update all CAYSA member clubs with important information. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to David Buckler at president@caysa.org.

Thank you and be safe.
