CAYSA and 4ATX Foundation partner for Academy Scholarship for 20/21 Season

Multiple youth scholarships will be awarded to CAYSA junior academy participants, providing support to local non-profit and youth soccer across Austin and Central Texas

CAYSA and the 4ATX Foundation, the philanthropic extension of Austin FC, have partnered for the upcoming 20/21 CAYSA Academy season. The partnership will provide multiple scholarships to CAYSA Junior Academy participants for the 2020-21 season, specifically focusing on young female soccer players, and young people from socio-economically challenged backgrounds.

The partnership will see 30 needs-based full youth scholarships being awarded to young female soccer players from Austin and Central Texas. Additionally, Austin FC will pay all CAYSA Junior Academy registration costs for CAYSA participating Junior Academy players for the 2020-21 season. This will represent a total investment of over $45,000 by 4ATX Foundation, benefiting over 1,500 Junior Academy players from Austin and Central Texas.

“We are proud to support CAYSA and our local soccer community in Austin and throughout Central Texas,” commented Kaitlin Swarts, VP of Community Relations for Austin FC. “30 young female players are going to be able to take part in their CAYSA club programs with full funding, and approximately 1,500 more young people from our region will have their CAYSA registrations fees completely covered for the forthcoming season. This is part of Austin FC’s commitment to helping grow the sport of soccer throughout Central Texas, and support an important local soccer organization that is doing wonderful work in our community.”

“CAYSA is extremely excited to enter into this partnership,” said David Buckler, CAYSA President. “The generosity of Austin FC and the 4ATX Foundation will enable more players to participate in our academy programs while continuing to build a larger soccer community in Central Texas.”

“Austin FC and 4ATX Foundation have clearly stated commitments to provide support to the local soccer community,” said Andy Loughnane, Austin FC President. “This scholarship and funding program will help young people from across our region to take part in the sport they love, and continue to help developing the next generation of soccer talent from across Austin and Central Texas.”

“This CAYSA scholarship and funding program has a direct, positive impact on the growth of soccer in Austin and Central Texas, and it provides support to U7 through U10 players, who are all at a critical stage of their development,” added Tyson Wahl, Austin FC Academy General Manager. “I believe that this is one of the best ways Austin FC can help grow the game in our region, offering support to clubs through CAYSA, an organization that assists players of all abilities, and from all socioeconomic backgrounds.”

Scholarship applications can be sent to admin@caysa.org, and will be reviewed by the CAYSA leadership. If any further information is required, we will contact the applicant directly.
